Panacea, meaning “the remedy for all” is your base in paradise.

This ground floor 2-bed, 2- bath condo with additional space as a third bedroom, is one of nine units in Battery Hill – a small Caribbean style complex. It is situated at the crown of a hill in Cruz Bay overlooking the village and Grande Bay. It is within walking distance to the restaurants and colorful shops, and the nearest beach at Frank Bay. Enjoy an evening cocktail on Panacea’s private shaded deck or the pool terrace.

The space
The condo has recently been redecorated and is fully equipped with everything you need. It has a colorful island living space with a separate modern kitchen and dining area. The master bedroom has a queen bed while the second bedroom offers 2 twin beds which can be converted to a king. The third bedroom/sleeping area with a full size futon can be sectioned off from the living area with a fabric screen. Both bathrooms have showers and the 2nd bathroom was added in 2016 with a beach pebble floor. Every room has A/C and ceiling fans.

Panacea is fully connected with WiFi throughout the unit, and a smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime videos. TV channels are via Dish Satellite. In addition there is a Bluetooth speaker if you wish to play your own music.

The private deck is a favorite cozy spot which is hidden from view. A fruit bearing island genip tree provides shade and a home for humming birds. A small water view can be seen through the trees.

Battery Hill’s refreshing pool with sun deck overlooks the village of Cruz Bay and is a super spot to relax after a day at the beach. Sun loungers and tables are provided and a large propane grill is available for your outdoor cooking needs.

There is a washer and dryer in the shared guest laundry room on the pool level.

Off street parking is available in our paved lot next to the building….a rare find in Cruz Bay!

A rental car is a great option to explore St John. There are also waiting taxis by the ferry for trips to the gorgeous beaches and beyond, which makes Panacea “car optional”.

High Season:            Jan 2 – April 23         $395/night

Mid-Season:             April 24 – Nov 13     $335/night    

High Season:            Nov14 – Dec 18        $395/night

Holiday Season:       Dec 19 – Jan 1         $575/Night


Additional Charge of $25/night for 5th guest

Hotel Tax/Service Charge     

       12.5% Hotel tax

      * $175 Cleaning Fee

      *  4 Night Minimum Stay

Cancellation Policy: If Guest wishes to cancel his/her reservation, the deposit will be refunded as follows (We also strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance especially during hurricane season):

  1. If cancelled at least 60 calendar days before check-in, 90% of funds will be refunded.
  2. If cancelled within 60 calendar days of check-in, no refund unless the week in question is re-booked. If rebooked, 90% of funds will be refunded.
